The SCAAEP Wet Lab Committee is very excited to present our Wet Lab Event.

This year, we look forward to offering students the opportunity to work with outstanding equine clinicians as they learn valuable skills in equine veterinary medicine. We are also excited to announce our partnership with the Texas Equine Veterinary Association (TEVA) to host an equine medicine focused Job Fair. We are so grateful to the clinicians who volunteer their time to teach the next generation of equine veterinarians. If you are interested in becoming a teaching clinician at our January 16, 2027 Wet Lab, please fill out the form below to reach our Wet Lab Coordinators. Howdy, and thank you for your interest in attending our January 16, 2027 Job Fair hosted by Texas A&M Student Chapter of the AAEP and the Texas Equine Foundation!

Here are some highlights from last year’s Wet Lab and Job Fair Event:

The Texas A&M SCAAEP Wet Lab is a full day event that allows students to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of equine medicine, as well as the opportunity to meet production companies, clinics, and veterinarians from many different states. Each year we continue to build this event and would very much enjoy your practice’s involvement. Students that participate in our Wet Lab are those that are interested in equine practices and are seeking summer job opportunities, externships, internships, and associate veterinary positions. This is a great time for you to interact with some of the top veterinary students in the country.

After a full day of Wet Lab experiences, students will converge at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center for our Job Fair Event brought to you in part by the Texas Equine Foundation. This evening event will look very much like last year’s Job Fair, just with more space so that we can accommodate our growing interest! Our formal Job Fair will be followed by a cocktail hour where you may continue meeting and mingling with eager equine focused students.

Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center

Located on the central coast in California, Alamo Pintado EMC offers a diverse and high-quality internship program that began in 1984 and has expanded into a six-intern rotational program. Our 10 senior veterinarians are committed to mentoring the next generation of equine veterinarians. Interns at Alamo Pintado EMC rotate through the following areas: ICU/medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, Radiology/sports medicine, Ambulatory, Night ICU. Our caseload is diverse as we see referrals from throughout the state of California and beyond.

Burleson Equine Hospital

We are a 3 Doctor equine referral practice south of Fort Worth, Texas. We see a large amount of lameness, reproduction, emergency and critical care, neonatology, and general practice cases. Our coverage is about 60 miles with ambulatory and hospital setting available. We are a TTU 4th year Clinical Rotation General Practice and love students!

De Cillo Equine Clinic

De Cillo Equine is a full service, equine exclusinve, clinic and hospital located on 19 acres in Hempstead, TX, 1 hour South of College Station, TX. Whe are a 3 DVM practice specializing in Sports Medicine, Reproduction, Routine Wellness, and Surgery. Established in 2016, De Cillo Equine Clinic is a thriving practice dedicated to building an equine wellness community. We offer externships all year.

Equine Performance Veterinarians, PLLC

The practice currently serves a mix of clientele from western performance horses such as barrels and roping to sport horses, inventing horses to pleasure, horses and pet backyard horses. We cover Central Texas from the north side of Waco to the north side of Austin along I 35 and I 14 corridor. Practice is a progressive mobile Equine practice that includes digital radiography, Ultrasound, 1 m endoscope, ESWT, and class four laser treatments. Our team is laid-back and has an exceptional group of clients that we do work for.

We are a two-doctor practice offering wellness, dentistry, sports medicine, and reproduction services to rural and suburban areas west of Houston. We are primarily ambulatory but have a haul-in facility on 20 acres. Our goal is to combine the diagnostic and treatment capability of a hospital with the convenience of a field setting. We have a robust internship program and take 6 interns each year.
