Our practice is greater than 95% Equine with the occasional barn cat or yard goat seen on the side. Tennessee Equine Hospital consists of a main referral and ambulatory hospital based just south of Nashville as well as four satellite practices throughout the middle and West Tennessee region. We serve a wide variety of English and Western disciplines. We have ten veterinarians at the Main Hospital including a boarded surgeon and internist as well as veterinarians focusing on lameness, reproduction, and preventative care. We offer MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, regenerative medicine, shockwave, and laser therapy.

Ocala Equine Hospital is a surgical referral center established to treat elective surgical cases and orthopedic emergencies. We have a full range of advanced surgical and diagnostic equipment enabling us to provide premier services for the region. Our swimming pool recovery system is unique to the region and compliments our expertise in fracture repair. We are on the forefront of diagnostic imaging and have modalities such as positron emission tomography, standing and general anesthesia computed tomography, high-field MRI, and nuclear scintigraphy. The veterinary staff consists of ten ambulatory clinicians, three boarded surgeons, a boarded internist (onsite consultant), and a boarded radiologist (onsite consultant). We currently have four interns that rotate through the hospital and ambulatory service.

Petaluma Equine is seeking applicants for a one-year equine internship and variable length externships for all vet students. Based in Sonoma County, about an hour North of San Francisco, Petaluma Equine is a hospital-based and ambulatory group practice consisting of five veterinarians including a board-certified surgeon as well as hospital and field technicians. The primary case load of the practice is sports medicine, general practice, and surgery. We see a variety of horses and work with all disciplines and breeds. In addition to a fully equipped operating room, the facility has digital radiography, ultrasound, digital endoscopy, standing MRI, and a complete rehabilitation facility including an underwater treadmill. The ideal candidate is someone looking to further their training in a diverse and well-rounded clinical setting. Daily case rounds and weekly journal clubs are structured into the internship to encourage ongoing education. The internship position is designed to offer a mixture of managing hospitalized cases, time in the field with the ambulatory veterinarians in the practice, and independent learning evolving throughout the internship to include primary emergency care. Applicants seeking a well-rounded internship which will prepare them for residency application or private practice are encouraged to apply. Funding provided for CE, 2 weekends off per month and 6 days PTO are guaranteed. Housing for interns is provided free of charge in a two bedroom, one bath apartment located on the second floor of the hospital with a private entrance. A separate room and use of the staff kitchen on the second floor of the hospital are available for extern housing.

Texas Equine Hospital primarily focuses on sports medicine (lameness diagnosis and treatment) and surgery (orthopedic and soft tissue), although, we are a full-service facility and treat a wide range of primary care cases as well. The cases we see encompass a variety of disciplines including western performance, rodeo, racing, dressage, hunter/jumper, pleasure, polo, endurance and small breeding farms. The caseload is composed of lameness, orthopedic and soft tissue injuries, colics, reproductive cases, neurologic problems, foal critical care, and preventative health maintenance. The ambulatory portion of the practice involves several large western performance barns, numerous smaller operations, and individually owned horses. The doctors were able to see 15,000 horses last year.
