Welcome to the Texas A&M Student Chapter of the AAEP Wet Lab Home Page

The SCAAEP Wet Lab Committee is very excited to present our Wet Lab Event.

This year, we look forward to offering students the opportunity to work with outstanding equine clinicians as they learn valuable skills in equine veterinary medicine. We are also excited to announce our partnership with the Texas Equine Veterinary Association (TEVA) to host an equine medicine focused Job Fair. Clinician Information

We are so grateful to the clinicians who volunteer their time to teach the next generation of equine veterinarians. If you are interested in becoming a teaching clinician at our January 17, 2026 Wet Lab, please fill out the form below to reach our Wet Lab Coordinators. Texas A&M SCAAEP Job Fair - brought to you in part by the Texas Equine Foundation

Howdy, and thank you for your interest in attending our January 17, 2026 Job Fair hosted by Texas A&M Student Chapter of the AAEP and the Texas Equine Foundation!

Here are some highlights from last year’s Wet Lab and Job Fair Event:

  • 200+ equine focused students (1VM-4VM) from over 22 different veterinary schools

  • 20+ labs ranging from equine dentistry to abdominal exploratory

  • Lunch with a guest speaker

  • 50+ practices at our Job Fair Event

The Texas A&M SCAAEP Wet Lab is a full day event that allows students to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of equine medicine, as well as the opportunity to meet production companies, clinics, and veterinarians from many different states. Each year we continue to build this event and would very much enjoy your practice’s involvement. Students that participate in our Wet Lab are those that are interested in equine practices and are seeking summer job opportunities, externships, internships, and associate veterinary positions. This is a great time for you to interact with some of the top veterinary students in the country.

After a full day of Wet Lab experiences, students will converge at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center for our Job Fair Event brought to you in part by the Texas Equine Foundation. This evening event will look very much like last year’s Job Fair, just with more space so that we can accommodate our growing interest! Our formal Job Fair will be followed by a cocktail hour where you may continue meeting and mingling with eager equine focused students.

  • Equine Performance Veterinarians, PLLC

    Mobile equine practice in Central Texas that has a progressive set up. Services include dentistry, lameness, general medicine, preventative medicine, along with integrative therapies. Our diverse practice serves from top competition horses to backyard pets. Our practice does use Fear Free Equine principles, and Dr. Clark is certified in for your Fear Free Equine. Our practice is greater than 95% Equine with the occasional barn cat or yard goat seen on the side. Equipment includes power, dentistry, endoscopy, digital radiographs, ultrasound, class, four laser, and shockwave.

  • Tennessee Equine Hospital

    Tennessee Equine Hospital consists of a main referral and ambulatory hospital based just south of Nashville as well as four satellite practices throughout the middle and West Tennessee region. We serve a wide variety of English and Western disciplines. We have ten veterinarians at the Main Hospital including a boarded surgeon and internist as well as veterinarians focusing on lameness, reproduction, and preventative care. We offer MRI, nuclear scintigraphy, regenerative medicine, shockwave, and laser therapy.

  • Ocala Equine Hospital, PA

    Ocala Equine Hospital is a surgical referral center established to treat elective surgical cases and orthopedic emergencies. We have a full range of advanced surgical and diagnostic equipment enabling us to provide premier services for the region. Our swimming pool recovery system is unique to the region and compliments our expertise in fracture repair. We are on the forefront of diagnostic imaging and have modalities such as positron emission tomography, standing and general anesthesia computed tomography, high-field MRI, and nuclear scintigraphy. The veterinary staff consists of ten ambulatory clinicians, three boarded surgeons, a boarded internist (onsite consultant), and a boarded radiologist (onsite consultant). We currently have four interns that rotate through the hospital and ambulatory service.

    As an equine veterinary hospital that focuses on sports medicine and performance problems, most of our patients are western performance horses in the fields of show, rodeo, cutting, and reining. We’re proud to work with these athletes to ensure their ability to perform at their best. Our hospital features a forward-thinking approach to equine practice and utilizes the latest in technology and equipment. Our practice also includes an off-site breeding facility along with a full rehabilitation clinic. We are a full-service practice providing routine/preventative care, internal medicine and surgery with a focus on sports medicine for our western performance horse athletes.
